Ahhhhh…Koh Chang

Phil and Cee decided to stay an extra night in Pattaya however I had to get moving so my next destination was the island of Koh Chang, located south of Pattaya near the Cambodian boarder.  After traveling throughout Thailand, Koh Chang ended up being my favorite spot.  The place was impressively beautiful and lacked the crowded that flocked to the more popular islands around Thailand.  Koh Chang was perfection to me.

I decided to stayed in Lonely Beach which is on the south west end of the island.  I was trying to avoid the “resort tourists” north in White Sand Beach so I decided in Lonely Beach instead.   To start off I rented a little bungalow at the Magic Garden which was nice.  There was wifi and a cool communal area where they would show movies every night.  They also had a full bar and restaurant and would chain up a monkey at night in the lounge area.  It was a little expensive for my budget (though it didn’t break the bank) so after a couple of days I decided to hop next door where the rooms were bigger, cheaper, and I could still get the wifi signal from Magic Garden. The place was called Lemon Resort.  It is fine for a budget backpacker especially when you will be spending the majority of your time outside.

The picture above is a shot of Lonely Beach.
