Fawanees

Ramadan lanterns (fawanees) hanging in the trees in Cairo…basically their version of xmas decorations ala Islam. Got to say that traveling in Arab countries during ramadan is quite the challenge since everything is closed and it hard to actually eat…plus side is you can lose weigh quickly, downside is that you are hangry (mad and hungry) all day. Cairo wasn’t so much of an issue since it was a big city however it was definitely more difficult in the other parts of the country.
