Cool Kitty

Cool Kitty My one and only friend in Nuweiba, Egypt. Since I was the only person at the Soft Beach Camp, this kitten would come and hang out with me all day. He would just come and sit on my lap and keep me company. It was a pretty cool cat (no pun intended) and definitely kept me entertained for hours on end. When I’d get up, he would follow. When I went to eat, he would join. Made me miss my pets back home but definitely help fill the void temporarily.

Beach Chill Zone

Beach Chill Zone This is where I would hang out all day cause there was nothing else to do in Nuweiba, Egypt. Awesome spot though and comfortable as hell. With views out to the Gulf of Aqaba and Saudi Arabia I couldn’t have asked to be in a more relaxing place, especially since I was the only person at this spot. The place was called Soft Beach Camp. It seemed that the place was a little run down in term of huts but overall I think this place was a solid spot. The common area was nice, they had wifi, and the food was really good. At night it was really quiet and definitely a nice change from the...

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia Shot of Saudi Arabia across the Gulf of Aqaba from the spot I was staying at in Nuweiba, Egypt.

Dude!…WTF?

Dude!…WTF? In Nuweiba, Egypt now watching some guys who does boat trips pour gasoline out on the beach just inches away from the blue water and coral reef. Ahhh…but what can you do? People just don’t get it sometimes. I spoke with this guy later on (cause we were the only people at the resort and he was telling me he needed to move to find work elsewhere cause there weren’t enough tourist in Nuweiba (me be the only one there). In the back of my mind I was just thinking about him dumping the gas on the beach and the surrounding pollution understanding why no tourist would want to...

Dahab Promenade

Dahab Promenade Shot of what Dahab, Egypt looks like.

Chillax?

Chillax? Didn’t really know that this word really left the realm that is my life in California, but being an ignorant American this sign proved me wrong. Chillax is an international word y’all, got it?

No Cameltoe Allowed

No Cameltoe Allowed Shot of a sign on the beach in Dahab. Go figure…this is Egypt so course they wouldn’t let a camel on the beach. This sign is pretty ironic though cause there wasn’t really a beach in Dahab. It was more like small gravel pits by the ocean so not really sure where these so called sneaky camels and horses would really do any walking.

Chilling Pussy

Chilling Pussy Cats EVERYWHERE in the Egypt. No dogs, all cats. While I chilled out in Dahab cats would just come by and kick with me all day. Did I touch them? No! Absolutely not especially after I got pin worms in South Africa. But I didn’t mind if they came by and hung out? Nope. This is a shot of a cat just chilling on the lounge chair next to me in Dahab, Egypt.

Dahab Day

Dahab Day Shot of Dahab, Egypt during the day taken from a lounge chair. The place I stayed at was cheap but kinda sucked cause I had a fan room with a janky bed and nasty sheets. Luckily all the restaurants were comfortable and they allowed me to chill there all day so it wasn’t that bad just sleeping at night in my dorm which was hotter than a mamma jamma.

Everyday

Everyday This is what I would do every day in Dahab. The ultimate chill out spot. I would wake up, go to a restaurant on the water, lounge out, and write or surf the internet for hours upon hours (something I didn’t have access to in Africa). Then sometime in the afternoon I’d go swimming then later go to another restaurant and do the same thing I did earlier. Got a lot of work done and got to catch up on all my stuff. On the other hand, after 4 days there I got bored and ended up leaving to another beach town just up the road. If you were curious, that is a strawberry shake on the...
