Serengeti Sunrise

Serengeti Sunrise Sunrise over the Serengeti plains. In Maasai, Serengeti means endless plains and it really did seem to go on forever. The great thing about the Serengeti was that you could see animals very easily since there were no trees or bushes to hide them as in other parks throughout southern and eastern Africa.

Meditating Baboon

Meditating Baboon This guy was just chilling on a rock. I have another photo with his eyes open but he just looked way too mean so I decided to share this one instead.

I <3 Baboons

I <3 Baboons Momma baboon holding her baby and yawning. I’m really bummed that this photo came out blurry but it just looked too funny not to post.

Toto Was Right

Toto Was Right So this is what they’ve been singing about this whole time! The open plains of Serengeti were absolutely breathtaking. This is a shot of an acacia tree with the sun setting behind it. Looking back Toto was right…I do miss the rains down in Africa…although it didn’t rain while we were there.

Top Up

Top Up Chilling in my African shirt with the top up in the Serengeti.

Jackal

Jackal Bad photo but just wanted to post that we saw a jackal.

Radness

Radness A photo of my favorite animal of all time…a hyena. This dude was chilling on the side of the road in the grass in Serengeti National Park.

Cradle Of Mankind

Cradle Of Mankind This is where your grandmamma’s mamma’s mom’s mommy’s mom’s mamma’s momma’s ma’s grandma’s mom is from. There you have it folks…you can now replace your “Hometown” on your Facebook profile as Olduvai Gorge, the cradle of mankind. This is where the Leakey’s found all that old stuff that basically says we’re all from Africa.

Maasai Mother and Child

Maasai Mother and Child Photo of a woman with her child. The baby’s face is hella funny…kinda looks like a pudgy Oscar the Grouch.

Maasai Ear Lobe

Maasai Ear Lobe Every wannabe punk rocker’s dream. Out of all the photos I’ve taken on my trip this is my favorite by far my favorite.
