View from my bed

View from my bed The color I feel is Gold cause this was the view from my bed in Hogsback. I really didn’t ever have to move cause it was…WHAM!…right there in front of me.  Even though my 55 year dorm mate was snoring up a storm, I really didn’t mind since the vista was spectacular.  Even at night while laying in bed I would just stare up at the millions of stars above me.  In the morning I’d watch the sunrise and in the afternoon I’d watch the monkeys play.  Couldn’t have gotten a better spot. ...

Shady Train and Penguins

Shady Train and Penguins The color I’m feeling is Warning Sign Yellow.   So I felt that while I was in Cape Town I should do something productive. Late in the afternoon I decided to go check out some penguins 1 hour south of Cape Town.  I took the local metrorail train and definitely felt out of my comfort zone cause I got on the wrong car.  I rode that car for 35 minutes only to realize that I was probably on the wrong one.  Some drunk dude sat down next to me and started mumbling some shit so I jumped off and took the next car over.  I would say that I felt pretty sketched out about the situation.  All...

Swanjob

Swanjob Funky photo of a swan in Zurich.  I wish I could do that…you’re sick for thinking that – I meant ruffle my feathers you perve.

Table Mountain

Table Mountain One more shot from the plane – Table Mountain and Cape Town at its base. I’m staying at a place at the base of the tittie-shaped hill to the left of Table Mountain.

More Sunset

More Sunset Another shot of the sunset from the plane.

Joburg Airport

Joburg Airport The color I am feeling is Crack Rock White.  Never. Ending. Trip.  This is by far the longest trip I’ve ever taken so really have nothing to write about except my feet stink, pits reek and I just want to lay down. My flight for Cape Town leaves at 3 so I have hella time to kill.  On the other hand the airport is filled with tons of World Cup paraphernalia which is getting me pumped for my trip. ...

Arrival to Cape Town

Arrival to Cape Town My color is Blazing Red Hot. I’ve always imagined an African sunset but never really thought it would be this beautiful. Stunning!

Frenchies and The Layover

Frenchies and The Layover My color is Swiss Chocolate.  The plane was packed with a group of French people sporting Harley Davidson t-shirts.  Never really got the whole lemming mentally when it comes to groups like that and there was something definitely weird about seeing French people where Harley shirts.  The people who sat in my row took my seat. I saw that one seat on the other side was still open so I sat in that seat instead.  Dumb fucking idea though cause there was metal box under my seat….that why my Frenchie neighbor moved.  I got shafted but at the point didn’t care in making a stink about it. ...

Zurich

Zurich Layover is longer than I thought so decided to jump on the train and head into town.  Been sipping white wine, kicking back, and relaxing. People keep mistaking me for a European…that’s what cutting off homeless hair will do to you. Africa in t-minus a couple of hours. I’ll post some Zurich photos up later when I get back chance. ...

White

White So I have about 19 hours til I take off. The color I’m feeling right now is white. Not cause my thighs haven’t seen the sun for a long ass time but because I’m starting fresh, clean slate.  It’s a weird feeling to give up everything that made me feel comfortable and secure to step out into the world.  But this is something I’ve dreamed of and never imagine I’d ever do.  So here I am starting something new and writing the next chapter of my life. I’m awkwardly nervous and excited but more than anything just plain ol’ exhausted cause I’ve...
